Question 1: How did you get into the Industry? |
John Girouard: It was quite by accident. I was surfing the web, ran across a couple of 3D sites and was blown away by what I saw. From that point forward I tried to learn every thing I could about 3D and digital art. |
Question 2: What are you currently working on, if not hush hush? |
John Girouard: I am taking a small hiatus while I try to advance my skills in 3D modeling and animation. |
Question 3: Which piece of your work is your favourite and why? |
John Girouard: I like certain aspects of all my work, but one of my favorites has to be "The Cup". When I created it, I was at a crossroads in my life, I had choices to make and I found myself blinded by all the different emotions that I was feeling. This was my attempt to express those feelings... |
Question 4: Which other 3D artists have impressed you and how? |
John Girouard: To be honest there are too many 3D artists that impress me so much, to nail it down to one or two would be impossible. The range of styles, genres and versatillity I have seen is amazing and I am most impressed by artists who bring life to their creations. |
Question 5: What 3D ambitions do you hold? |
John Girouard: To one day be able to advance my skill level to the point where I can really be doing the type of work that speaks to the intent of my vision. To also be able to fully tell a story through a mix of traditional art techniques, animation and 3D modeling. |
