Gallery of 3D.com Profile - Giuliano Draguleanu
Artist's Name: Giuliano Draguleanu
Email Address: [email protected]
Website Address: No Website
3D Status: Professional
Question 1: How did you get into the Industry?
Giuliano Draguleanu: Five years ago, I saw two guys playing with 3D Studio Max and I said to myself: "This is something I wanna do". I quit my job (which sucked, anyway), went home and begin struggling with Max. Six months later I get my first job as a 3D modeler.
Question 2: What are you currently working on, if not hush hush?
Giuliano Draguleanu: After a lot of comercials and animations for other companies, I've begin working on my own short film. It's a fifteen minute movie called "A Hard Life". Actually, the images posted are screenshots from it.
Question 3: Which piece of your work is your favourite and why?
Giuliano Draguleanu: Of course, the latest is the best. I have this tendency of disliking almost any previous work.
Question 4: Which other 3D artists have impressed you and how?
Giuliano Draguleanu: I really don't know what to say about this. In time I've found inspiration in other's work but I never kept any name in memory.
Question 5: What 3D ambitions do you hold?
Giuliano Draguleanu: To make movies. I love movies. For me 3D is just the tool which allows me to direct, to act and create moods, in a word to tell a story.

Brooklin

This is a screenshot from my short. It is done in Maya in about a week. The thing is that after I spent a lot of time with a lot of details, I decided to use that old, noisy look. Otherwise it would take less time.

Also from the intro of the movie. I used in this scene no more, no less than 324 lights.

Liberty

Done in one week. That was easier. Maya fluids done the job (the sea) pretty well.

This screenshot ends the intro and take you to the doorsteps where the main character appears.

Main Character

This is the main character. A disgusting cockroach, having the adventure of his life: he has to cross the street, in order to find the "promised land": a kitchen with plenty of leftovers.
