Project Information: |
Famous critics of Mute cinema have confirmed that this film has once again been found after 20 years in an old room of a cinema in Paris. Unfortunately there is still very little news that we have on this film but experts looking at the images have decided unanimously that it should be treated as an earlier product then the first Mickey Mouse movie (Steamboat Willie,1928). The cartoon is reminiscent of Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet", with the deeds of the small Romeo, his troubled love the beautiful Juliet and his big problem. The emotion is clearly present from the precious frames that have so far been recovered.
Subsequently in the 80's years we have not found information on the orchestra. The Band created a perfect union between images and music leaving the public decidedly stunned at the cinema.
Almost entirely restored it is possible to view this masterpiece of Mute film. |
