| Project Information: | This is an exact replica of the Japanese I-52 World War Two Submarine. To make this accurate 3D-computer model, bulkheads of a plastic model were traced using pliable metal. These sections were then scanned loaded up into the computer as background images and then aligned with the bulkhead locations from the original drawings used to construct the submarine. This is one of several National Geographic Specials the we did. This Submarine and a Germany Class Sub were made for National Geographic Television Special "I-52" at the Infinite 3dfx and Radical 3D facilities in 1999. |
