I don't mean to offend anyone, but I do think that you should acknowledge the original artist of this model, the "Sibenik Cathedral" by Marko Dabrovic. You may have done the texturing, but the model is not yours. |

great texturing, and more importantly, great lighting - that band of light at the top filtering through the windows seems somewhat unnatural, but looks damn good ;-). |

Sorry but i see much beter pictures on this site. Pic is good but not Cream and not impresive. I recommend www.3dshop.com for really realistic pictures. Sorry for AD and critics but i think that on this page have much better pictures than in cream gallery. |

Xcm, your comments are appreciated. That's the thing though, it is all down to personal preference, mine obviously being that I really like this image.
I select images that I really enjoy viewing, they may not always being the most technically stunning but as far as I am concerned they always have that special 'thing'. |

This is absolutely beautiful. The light filtering is very natural looking to my eye. The lighting and POV is what makes this an outstanding image. As for using other models, well of course, we all do, but it is what we DO with them that makes them special. I've seen this model rendered by some that make it look like silly putty. But this is done extremely well. Fooled my eye, and that is what I look for in 3D. I don't comment unless I'm blown away. Well done.

I agree with Lorrieann Russell, but there's strange texture mapping on the arches.
I think you should have create an extended box, map it and then bend it to make the bricks look more realistic.
Nevertheless, It's a really nice work. |
